Welcome to Menopause Nurse Out Loud
A message from Sharon
Hello, I’m Sharon Best - Registered nurse, midwife, child and family health nurse, and Menopause Educator.
I have over 30 years of nursing experience. I’ve worked with thousands of women across all stages of life and I’ve lived through menopause myself.
I created this service because my own menopause journey was confusing, isolating and at times overwhelming.
So many women are understandably:
• Confused about what is happening to their bodies
• Feeling alone, unheard and overwhelmed
• Questioning whether they should tolerate the symptoms of menopause and hope they'll eventually subside
• Unsure about treatment options and whether those options are truly safe
• Struggling to find trustworthy, balanced information amid conflicting advice
• Wondering if what they’re experiencing is “normal” or something to be concerned about
• Hesitant to speak up, fearing they’ll be dismissed or misunderstood
As a healthcare professional, I realised that even with decades of experience, navigating menopause wasn't straightforward. That's when I knew something had to change.
This service is my way of turning that challenge into purpose.
I offer supportive, informed conversations for women, including those who are unable to use hormone therapy (MHT/HRT)
This includes breast cancer survivors and others navigating complex health considerations. You are equally important, and your voice deserves to be heard. There are many options available to help you manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life. I provide education tailored to your unique situation, helping you explore safe, effective strategies that align with your needs and values.
I want every woman to feel informed, empowered and supported - not dismissed or left in the dark.
I provide personalised, evidence-informed support for women navigating the complexities of menopause . Whether you're newly experiencing symptoms, in the thick of it, or postmenopausal and seeking clarity.
Unlike many menopause coaches or purely medical approaches, I bring over 30 years of nursing experience, extensive professional training and lived experience.
I don’t prescribe or diagnose — I educate, guide and walk beside you. I believe that every woman deserves access to clear, compassionate guidance and the confidence to reclaim her well being.
You don't have to go it alone.
